Inter Club Training Events

It is beneficial for Ontario athletes to train together with members from different clubs. Ontario clubs regularly host training events in their usual venues and invite members from other clubs to join them for an evening or day long session of fencing which can be a camp or informal competition. These sessions are for practice only and are not eligible for ranking points on the Provincial or National Rankings, although internal club rankings may be kept. The organizers do not have to get an official sanction (since club activities are already sanctioned at the beginning of the season. They just have to send a note to the Executive Director that the event is happening with a date and time if outside of regular practice times.

The OFA strongly supports these events and recommends that fencers participate in them often.

Club managers can list their training events on this website by contacting June McGuire at info@fencingontario.ca
