Westdale Fencing Club’s Sandra Dulac was a deserving recipient as the Coaches Association of Ontario celebrated nine exceptional coaches from all levels of sport on the morning of Saturday, April 14, 2012. This date also marked the start of Ontario Coaches Week, a week- long celebration of community coaches across the province.

CIC Workshop: May 27 at TFC

The CIC workshop will focus on the theoretical modules.

Theoretical Modules include: May 27 (9 am to 5 pm)
The role and function of the CI; Participants and their sport needs; Ethical Practice; Basic rules and equipment; Planning a practice; Basic organisation of training competitions) and also practice sessions, with the opportunity to receive feedback from both facilitators and other instructors. Workshops are typically around 8 hours in duration.

Cost $115 + HST

OYD/OCD Program Updates

The West OYD/OCD Camp has been changed from Mar. 10 to Mar. 18. Please email chajune@hotmail.com to reserve your spot.

Registration for Y14 and Cadet Championships will be opeing soon. Please watch this site for a link.

The Under 15 Event held in conjunction with the the Jr. Sr. and Veterans Championships is a JFF event only. It is not the official Championships and no points will be awarded on the OYD Ranking.

It is still recommended as a nice warm up for the Y14 Championships the following weekend (April 1)

The Ontario Fencing Association is pleased to announce the final list of athletes who have been selected to receive Ontario Cards under the 2011-2012 Quest for Gold – Ontario Athlete Assistance Program (OAAP). The athletes nominated were selected using the sport specific selection criteria developed by the Ontario Fencing Association, approved by its Board of Directors and applied by the Selection Committee.
