Who is this membership for?
The Competitive Membership, including U15 Competitive, is designed for athletes pursuing excellence in the sport through provincial, national, and international competition while earning national ranking points.
Membership Includes
- OFA/CFF Licence
- Individual registration
- $5 million liability insurance
- Eligibility for inclusion in the National Rankings
- Entry into competitions throughout Canada. Please note: Canadian fencers who wish to compete in the United States (NACs, Super youths, etc.) will need to purchase a USFA International Competitive Licence.
- Eligibility for selected international competitions (additional FIE licensing may be required for some events)
- Eligibility for athlete funding opportunities (e.g., Quest for Gold)
- Access to athlete development programs
- Eligibility for Ontario Elite Teams and National Team programs
- Participants in the Ontario Youth Circuit are eligible for inclusion in the Provincial Rankings
- Supports athletes in the Learn to Train, Train to Train, and Train to Compete stages of Long-Term Athlete Development
Additional Information
In alignment with CFF Safe Sport policies, athletes registered in the CFF High Performance Program (HPP) will be required to undergo Safe Sport Training prior to issuing full registration into the program.
Memberships must be purchased or renewed at least 72 hours before a competition. Athletes are encouraged to bring a copy of their registration receipt to competitions in case membership verification is required.
Your competition ranking is linked to your CFF Licence Number. Registering under a new licence number will result in the loss of existing ranking points and could require correction through the CFF licensing process.
