Dear Participants in the CFF National Championships,
Following are some additional details and reminders in advance of the event this weekend.
FREE PARKING AT BROCK UNIVERSITY
There is free parking for event participants in Lot D. Anyone staying overnight in residence at Brock can also park in lot S.

PRE-COMPETITION EQUIPMENT TESTING
Thursday, May 17th
7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the venue.
Brock University
Walker Sports Complex
1812 Sir Isaac Brock Way, St Catharines, ON, L2S 3A1
All Friday morning participants are encouraged to complete their weapon testing on Thursday night before the competition.
Please note that the competition venue only opens at 7:00 am each day.
NEW! ARMOURY WEAPON REPAIR INFORMATION SESSIONS
CFF’s National Armourer Antoine Gouin will stage a free armoury weapon repair session in Room 215 next to the Main Gym as follows:
Epee – Saturday, May 19, 13:30
Sabre – Saturday, May 19, 15:15
Foil – Sunday, May 20, 9:45
The sessions are open to everyone! (athletes, parents, coaches etc.)

A reminder that on Saturday, May 19th, the Canadian Fencing Federation will host the 2018 Awards & Recognition Gala on-site at Brock University.
This special event is dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating Canadians who have made a significant impact, nationally and internationally, to the sport of fencing. All participants, coaches, family and friends are welcome!
Cocktail Reception: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Dinner: 7:30 pm
NEW! DJ/Dance: 9:00 pm – 12:00 am
Dress Code: No dress code in effect.
Tickets: $25.00 and can be purchased through: CFF 2018 Awards & Recognition Gala

CAAWS WOMEN IN SPORT LUNCH & LEARN – “LEADING WITH CONFIDENCE”
All women and girls are invited to take part in a lunch time session on “Leading with Confidence” – a CAAWS Lunch & Learn session hosted by CAAWS instructor, Patricia Howes. The session with be held in Room 215 next to the Main Gymnasium at Brock University on Sunday, May 20 at noon for 60 minutes and lunch will be included. All are welcome!

CFF HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAM
CFF’s High Performance Program Director Benjamin Manano will be hosting High Performance Program information sessions for athletes, parents and coaches in the lecture hall located next to the main Gymnasium at Brock University in Room 215 next to the main gymnasium on Saturday, May 19 as follows:
Sabre – 4:00 pm
Epee – 4:30 pm
Foil – 5:00 pm
