Following is some important information for participants in the 2018 CFF National Championships, scheduled to take place May 18-21, 2018 at Brock University in St Catharines, Ontario.
ENTRIES AND SEEDING:
The list of entries and seeding for the National Championships can be verified through the following link:

Participants have until midnight EST on Friday, May 11, 2018 to inform us of any discrepancies at ed@fencing.ca. No additional changes can be made after the deadline. The CFF will post the final registration information through the same link.
UPDATED SCHEDULE:

- U23 Men’s Sabre & U23 Women’s Sabre close of registration moved from 8:00am to 9:15am on Saturday
- Veteran Men’s Foil and Veteran Women’s Foil events will be combined w/ a separate women’s DE following the mixed event on Saturday
- Veteran Men’s Sabre and Veteran Women’s Sabre events will be combined w/ a separate women’s DE following the mixed event on Sunday
- Junior Women’s Foil close of registration moved from 12:30pm to 12:45pm on Sunday
- U23 Men’s Epee & U23 Women’s Epee close of registration moved from 3:00pm to 3:15pm on Sunday
- University Men’s Sabre & University Women’s Sabre are cancelled due to low registration on Monday, refunds will be issued for those affected.
PRE-COMPETITION EQUIPMENT TESTING
Thursday, May 17th
7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the venue.

All Friday morning participants are encouraged to complete their weapon testing on Thursday night before the competition.
Please note that the competition venue only opens at 7:00 am each day.

The CFF is proud to welcome its sponsors ABSOLUTE FENCING and NIKE TEAM as vendors at the Canada Cup. We will also have a vendor providing lettering at this event.
AWARDS & RECOGNITION GALA
A reminder that on Saturday, May 19th, the Canadian Fencing Federation will host the 2018 Awards & Recognition Gala on-site at Brock University.
This special event is dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating Canadians who have made a significant impact, nationally and internationally, to the sport of fencing. All participants, coaches, family and friends are welcome!
Cocktail Reception: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Dinner: 7:30 pm
NEW! DJ/Dance: 9:00 pm – 12:00 am
Dress Code: No dress code in effect.
Tickets: $25.00 and can be purchased through: CFF 2018 Awards & Recognition Gala

CAAWS WOMEN IN SPORT LUNCH & LEARN – “LEADING WITH CONFIDENCE”
All women and girls are invited to take part in a lunch time session on “Leading with Confidence” – a CAAWS Lunch & Learn session hosted by CAAWS instructor, Patricia Howes. The session with be held in Room 215 next to the Main Gymnasium at Brock University on Sunday, May 20 at noon for 60 minutes and lunch will be included. All are welcome!

COACH RECEPTION
The CFF will be hosting a reception for coaches during the finals on Sunday, May 20 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm in the Walker Complex studio overlooking the Bob Davis Finals Gym. Refreshments and snacks will be provided. CFF’s Coach Developer Ildemaro Sanchez will be available at the reception to respond to any questions on NCCP and coaching development. A sign-up sheet will be available at the event at the CFF booth on Friday and Saturday. Pre-registration will be required, and the event is open only to coaches and invited guests.
CFF HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAM
CFF’s High Performance Program Director Benjamin Manano will be hosting High Performance Program information sessions for athletes, parents and coaches in the lecture hall located next to the main Gymnasium at Brock University in Room 215 next to the main gymnasium on Saturday, May 19 as follows:
Sabre – 4:00 pm
Epee – 4:30 pm
Foil – 5:00 pm
