Exclusions: The OFA has determined that, as in previous years, the goal of the 2022 Ontario Winter Games is to encourage athletes to pursue higher level competition. As such any athlete who has represented Canada internationally at a European circuit, World Cup, Pan-Am Championships or World Championships will be excluded from competing at the OWG, as they are already competing at a much higher level.
Qualification Competitions:
The following is a list of OWG qualifying competitions as of November 11th, 2021. Other locations as well as current unknown dates for listed events will be added as the OFA and host clubs finalize details. Coaches and athletes are encouraged to check back here for updates.
The OFA is working with local clubs to ensure that each region has at least two OWG qualification competitions for all weapons. However, all eligible athletes can register for any competition in any region, and are not limited to the competitions in their home region.
